Term and Conditions for Online Lessons

By booking any type of online language course at NM, you indicate that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions, including the cancellation, postponement and refund policy.

1. Registration

1.1. In order to participate in online conversational group lessons, it is essential to register on the site, fill out an application form no later than 1 week prior to the start of classes. If registration occurs after said time, School staff will nevertheless consider your application and do everything possible to ensure that your program is arranged and provided in the best possible fashion, but we cannot guarantee that your requests will be fulfilled exactly.

1.2. In order to book individual lessons, it is essential to register on the site, fill out an application form no later than 2 days prior to the start of classes. If registration occurs after said time, School staff will nevertheless consider your application and do everything possible to ensure that your program is arranged and provided in the best possible fashion, but we cannot guarantee that your requests will be fulfilled exactly.

1.3. Registration is considered to be completed when the payment is received.

2. Payment

2.1. All the payments are to be proceeded via PayPal at least 48 hours before the scheduled lessons. In case you don’t have PayPal account, please contact us for arranging payment by card.

2.2. Payments arenot made after the lessons.

2.3. All fees and bills are confidential and are not to be discussed with the instructor under any circumstances.

3. Online Courses

3.1. The School maintains the right to transfer the Student to a more appropriate course or group, if the student’s level of fluency does not correspond to the course reserved.

3.2. The School maintains the right to substitute or replace a teacher in case of necessity without prior notification of the student.

3.3. Group course fees can’t be transferred to individual lessons under any circumstances.

4. Lateness / Cancellations

4.1. If the Student is late for a lesson, the Teacher will remain available for the 45, 60 or 90 minutes (depending on booked lesson duration) from the agreed start time. The decision to add extra time at the end of the lesson will be at the teacher’s discretion.

4.2. In the unlikely event that the Teacher is late, the teacher must add any extra time at the end of the lesson or at a later date of your convenience.

4.3. Missed group lessons are not carried over to a later date, nor are they otherwise compensated or refunded.

4.4. All the cancellations are to be done in written form by mail. In case of cancellation of individual lessons with more than 24 hours’ notice, the class is carried over to another day with the agreement of the instructor for no extra fee. If the lesson is canceled within 24 hours of the beginning of class, but earlier than six hours before the scheduled time, payment will be charged equal to 50% of the cost of the scheduled lesson.

If the lesson is scheduled for morning hours (08:00 - 12:00 time slot), the cancellation deadline is 18:00 on the working day (Monday – Friday) before the day when lesson takes place. If the cancellation message is received after 18:00, the lesson is considered to be taken and charged for in full.

If said lesson is cancelled within 6 hours of the beginning of class, it is considered standing and is fully charged.

4.5. If the Teacher is going to be absent for a lesson, you will receive an email up to 24 hours before the lesson. The Student will not be charged for that lesson.

5. Postponement

5.1. It’s impossible to cancel or postpone group course, apart from under the circumstances in point 6.1.

5.2. It’s impossible to pause your course or take a holiday part way through group course.

5.3. Individual course can be postponed to a later date at no charge with not less than 48 hours prior notification at info@novamova.net but for no more than 60 calendar days. After this period all the lessons are considered to be expired, no refund is possible.

6. Refund

6.1. All the fees are only refundable if you are dissatisfied with the course and contact us at info@novamova.net within 24 hours of starting your course. At that you will be asked to inform us about sound argument(-s) of your dissatisfaction with the course.

6.2. Please note, that a refund will be processed within up to sixty calendar days.

7. Technical Requirements and Problems

7.1. All the technical requirements can be found here (active link)

7.2. The Student is responsible for ensuring they have a working high speed internet connection, Skype user ID, headset, microphone at the time of their lesson. If there are technical problems on the Student’s side at lesson time it is not the responsibility of the School or any of our affiliated companies or partners.

7.3. In the event School experiences technical problems at the time of scheduled lesson and is unable to provide its regular services, we will arrange for a make-up lesson at the earliest convenience to the student but no refund shall be given.

8. Photos and Videos

14.1. The student agrees that photos and videos done by the School during the lessons may be used for promotional purposes. In case of objection the student must inform the School in advance in written form.

9. Complaints
